There are a lot of different things you can do to get great results from your garden. Sprinkling some baking soda in the soil around your tomatoes can help reduce the acidity and that can sweeten them up. Also adding flowers in or around your garden can be very beneficial. It will attract beneficial insects and predators, that your plants need to grow big and strong. Weed control is very important when it comes to your garden. Weeds take nutrients, water, sunlight and space away from the plants you are growing and keep healthy. Luckily there are many ways to prevent and control weeds without using chemicals. Sprinkling cornmeal will help keep weeds from growing but it also works as fertilization for your plants. Laying down landscape fabric or plastic will create a barrier so weeds will not grow. Lastly spraying vinegar in between your rows will kill weeds also.
