Hello everyone!
Over the last few months, we have been very busy here at Lincoln Maine Federal Credit Union. On October 19th we celebrated International Credit Union Day as stated in my previous blog. We had a lot going on in and out of the branch to celebrate. We served up some lunch that consisted of hotdogs, soda, cotton candy, cupcakes, and popcorn. We had a 50/50 raffle and raised $221 to help end hunger in Maine. We also set a goal to collect 75 nonperishable food items and thanks to our great members and staff we exceeded that goal with 106 items to help feed our local community.
We hosted a virtual party on Facebook. During the party those who participated had the chance to win various gift cards.
All our staff attended training courses and meetings to better assist our members. We have all gotten to freshen up on our products and services that we offer here at the Credit union. We feel this is very important so we can ensure that our members can get the most from their hard-earned/saved money and to ensure that everyone gets great service.
A few of us have been going to Mattanawcook Jr. High School and teaching the kids. The last few weeks the lesson plan has been about budging. Learning how to create a budget, setting goals and most importantly about things that may randomly pop up such as an emergency.
Myself (Dakotah) and Brittany went to the trunk-a-treat. We had so much fun seeing all the kids in their costumes and everyone’s decorations. We even won best trunk of 2023.
In the next week some of us will be headed up north to participate in the financial fitness fair with some juniors and seniors.
Now we are getting ready for the busy holiday season.
We would like to thank all our current and past members for helping us grow to be who we are today. We are very excited to see where the future takes us.
Happy holidays and best wishes!
